Our Philosophy - Piney Lakes Childcare
Our Philosophy is guided by educator’s pedagogy and personal philosophies on early childhood development and the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia.
We have an experienced team of dynamic educators who are professionally trained and passionate about supporting early years learning and development through meaningful interactions, experiences and learning rich environments. Each child’s current knowledge, strengths, ideas, culture, abilities and interests are the foundation of our educational curriculum. Curriculum decision making contributes to each child’s learning and development outcomes in relation to their identity, connection with community, wellbeing, confidence as learners and effectiveness as communicators.
Research and studies show the early years of a child’s life is a period of rapid learning. We aim to support and extend upon children’s knowledge of the world with experiences that promote children’s sense of agency, allowing them to make choices, explore, create, imagine and discover all whilst learning and making friendships!
The quality of a child’s early learning experiences and environment has a profound impact on that child’s life opportunities and outcomes. We never forget the qualities and strengths that make each child an individual and it is our aim to support each child to have an amazing early education experience that they will treasure for years to come.
We value the diversity of families and cultures in our community and aim to create a partnership where family life and learning comes together. We understand the need to compliment the role of families in educating and promoting learning through enjoyable and enriching experiences designed to foster a sense of belonging and achievement. Piney Lakes Childcare is a community of families and together we can support each other and each child’s learning journey. We aim to actively participate within our local community to enhance children’s learning and wellbeing.
We believe in play-based learning where children are encouraged to be in the moment and take their time to explore their interests. Every day is important when it comes to nurturing a child’s spirit and providing learning opportunities, and we can only live that day once. Let’s make each learning rich day one to be remembered!
Each element of the philosophy plays an integral part in the way our team educates and cares for children. Reflection both individually and as a team influences the philosophy whilst maintaining our vision for children’s learning.
